Privacy policy
This policy explains how we handle the personal data of people who visit fenekapp.com and sign up to get a free month of Fenek – an AI app for kids with alerts for parents.
1. Who controls my data?
The data controller is Backend Developers Ltd, 9A Evripidou Street, 3031 Limassol, Cyprus, registered in the Cyprus companies register under number HE442278, VAT: CY10442278T (“we”, “us”).

2. Where does the controller get my data?
We get data directly from you – when you fill in the form on the site or book a call. Some technical data (e.g. the ad campaign you came from, your device type) is collected automatically during your visit; analytics and advertising data is collected only with your cookie consent.
The form collects: your email address, your child’s age range, whether your child uses AI, what matters most to you about Fenek, which subscriptions you pay for, and your consent choices. We don’t collect your child’s name or any other details about your child.
3. Why does the controller process my data?
- to add you to the list of people who will get a free month of Fenek and to contact you about the launch,
- to send marketing updates – if you tick that box,
- to schedule and run a research call and send you the gift card – if you book a call,
- to analyze form answers in aggregate so we can design the product and its offer,
- to measure our ads and understand how the site is used – with your cookie consent,
- to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. On what legal basis?
- Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – contacting you about the launch and your free month, marketing updates, analytics and advertising cookies.
- Steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – organizing the call you book and sending the gift card.
- Our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – aggregated analysis of answers to develop the product, keeping the site secure, establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing cso@reef.pl, and change your cookie choice via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect processing that happened before.
5. How long does the controller keep my data?
- form data – until Fenek launches and you receive your free month, no longer than 12 months after you sign up, or until you withdraw consent,
- marketing data – until you withdraw consent,
- data related to the call and gift card – as long as needed to run and settle it, then for the period required by tax law,
- cookie data – for the periods listed under “Cookies” below,
- data needed to defend legal claims – until those claims expire.
6. Who receives my data?
Data may be shared with providers who process it on our behalf or as separate controllers:
- Vercel Inc. – website hosting,
- n8n GmbH (n8n Cloud) – passing sign-ups and visit data to our spreadsheets,
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC – storing data in Google Sheets and booking a call via Google Calendar (Google Meet), if you book one,
- PostHog Inc. (EU servers) – site analytics and session recordings (only with consent),
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. – ad measurement (only with consent),
- legal, accounting and IT service providers – as needed to provide their services,
- public authorities and courts – when required by law.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (mainly in the US). These transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission, with additional safeguards such as encryption and data minimization. We don’t sell your personal information.
7. How is my data processed and protected?
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to people who need it and are bound by confidentiality, and data minimization – we only collect what we need for the purposes above. Text typed into form fields is masked in session recordings. We don’t make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal effects.
8. What are my rights?
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it (“right to be forgotten”), restrict processing, receive it in a portable format, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email cso@reef.pl.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland (uodo.gov.pl) or the authority in the country where you live. If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, you can exercise the corresponding rights by emailing us.
Cookies
Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you click “Accept” in the banner. If you click “Reject”, the site and the form work as usual. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Children
This site is intended for parents and guardians. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children – we only ask for your child’s age range, with no details that could identify them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new date.
